Nebbia / Fog

24/12/2015

“Nebbia” is the Italian word for Fog. In my archive from 1991 – 1994 are a group of 4 x 5 Polaroids that I keep while we were creating backgrounds to merge with other images. They were interesting on their own. Now, years later, I have merged them with each other to create a series more in the style of painting, though they were photographically created. I had always intended them to be a surface to paint on, but they looked so good on their own, I thought I would leave them as they are. Nebbia is the perfect metaphor for a change in direction. It always seems uncertain until the fog lifts. See more in the Portfolio I section.
