The 1980 Kincardine Old Boys Reunion. Every ten years, there is a reunion of all those who are associated with the small town of Kincardine on Lake Huron, one of The Great Lakes in Ontario. It is a ‘free-for-all’, where back in 1980, the men thought it crazy to dress as women and women to fall into every stereotypical style of dress, making for a very surreal drunken night of partying. Their secrets and their prejudices were on display as I walked in surprise through the crowd. Rural fears. Nothing I grew up with. These are the photographs from one night shot with a Hasselblad 80mm with flash on B&W film. ( The Mayor is in the see-through Teddy.)
