When you start to draw the body, it is often suggested that you begin with the circles and ovals that are the building blocks of the body’s form. Now what if you tell a story with a person in mind. What colours do they wear? How do they think? Are they optimistic, calculating or simply full of joy. What would they look like? How reductive can you make a drawing  a watercolour or a painting and still give the sense of who and what that person is? So…I try.
