Fuso is the Italian word for “melted”. It forms the base for confuso – confusion and fuso orario – which is jet lag. This represents my return to drawing and painting using photographs as an element in these works on paper. They are large 42″ x 54″ sheets of Arches paper with photographs like the red ink that was spilled in a dresser drawer, called Blood Drawer or a Tangle of Figs the result of pruning our fig tree. They melt my photography, drawing and painting together with my life long fascination with a line.
