What began as a simple series of photographs evolved into, a framework a structure for tonality and colour.
Many of the best things happen by accident.
I love when you are photographing, that you shoot something so fast that you had no time to think about it. It is just your eye that finds and records the moment. It becomes a testment to your ability. Then you see the contacts and think, “Did I shoot that?”
The same is deciding to restore the packing paper from our move. It was discarded, to be recycled but then I decided I could draw on the paper. It is good newsprint. Now comes the immediacy of an iPhone 14 Pro, shot RAW. Then, into Photoshop, a print was made on Photo Rag. Now it is the framework for a series of pastels. An evolution will come from a simple accident.
